Gopal (Shah Rukh Khan) has always loved Radha (Madhuri Dixit) and his life seems complete when they marry. But disillusion soon sets in. Radha is always more concerned about other people – her jobless brother Prashant or her good friend, Suraj (Salman Khan). Suraj is a singer and Radha has played a big part in his journey to fame and fortune. Gopal soon finds himself torn apart by jealousy – he decides that he cannot live with Radha and sends her back to her parents. When Suraj comes to know about the reason for this separation, he is devastated. He vows to put things right for his friend……
